Tool Design and Construction.

Tool design and construction has always played a significant role at P.C. Turck and offered the company an abundance of Know-how and competitive advantage. With 13 toolmakers, 1 master toolmaker, 3 apprentices and modern machinery, this department offers all options for a modern tool design and construction. The machining centre disposes of CNC machines, millings, erosion machines, sink and wire eroders, a 200 tonne testing machine and a 3D measuring machine to measure complex tools.

A tool management system, developed especially for P.C. Turck, manages master data, tool parts lists and tool orders. A factory floor management system for tool orders plans preventative maintenance and repair, offers cost control as well as extensive possibilities for analysis.

Initially, the development of new products is exclusively conceived in “tools”. This shows the great significance of this department and confirms the statement that the tool design and construction represents the actual core competence of the company.

Here, further developments are realised and innovations developed and implemented. Always with the aim to optimise products, to further develop processes and to implement complex solutions.
